Action Item 1: Join Us!

Become a member of SDACE and help us organize for a future initiative petition drive. Putting an initiative on the ballot requires that 60,000 valid signatures be gathered in less than six months. To allow for signatures ruled invalid by the City Clerk (voter has moved, address is incorrect, writing is illegible), realistically we will have to get 80,000 signatures. We will need to engage in outreach and education campaigns, and when the time comes to put the initiative on the ballot for the 2006 election, we will need to organize, mobilize and energize volunteers to collect signatures.
